ABOUT
The Sabyasachi Art Foundation was founded in 2014
and is committed to making art and culture economically sustainable through creative mentorship, upskilling and active commissions. Helmed and overseen by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the foundation offers underprivileged fine artists from Bengal a safe space, where they are given all the tools required for them to hone and shape their practice—a studio, a secure income, a mentorship programme, and constant cultural exchange and dialogue.
The Sabyasachi Art Foundation was commissioned by Sabyasachi to hand paint original prints that were then digitally rendered into upholsteries and wallpapers for this collection.

The Sabyasachi and Nilaya collaboration represents a constant quest for artisanal craftsmanship and the translation of those onto tasteful wallpaper and furnishings. Enabling the creation of the extraordinary, the "Paris-Calcutta Collection" forges the uniqueness of this partnership.
Imbibing the rich patterns from the Indo-French heritage, working with the Sabyasachi Art Foundation, the 20's golden age has been painted onto fabrics and walls to convert spaces onto a dreamy ambience. Each pattern is an ode to the opulent bygone era that flows through the setting like an enigma.
